Founding Chief Executive; the mind behind the Society
Mr. Zeeshan Shoki is
founding Chief Executive & Founder Chairman of PAK Educational
Society(PES) / Pakistan Development Network(PDN). He has completed his
Bsc. from University of Karachi . He holds Masters degree in Economics .
He also holds post graduate Diploma in Labour Administration &
Industrial welfare from National Institute of Labour Administration &
Training (NILAT). He also did Diploma in Computer Science (DCS) from NCR
and a few short courses on E-commerce, Networking . He also got the
training from Interntional Training Centre Turin , Italy incollaboration
with ILO.
Mr. Shoki provided short term consultancy to OEDC and many national
NGOs. He has wide experience in multidisciplinary research and
extensively write on issues like Human Resource Development & its’
utilization, Education ,Child labour, Human Rights, poverty, civil
society development. He also has the honour to document first report on
“ Nonprofit Sector in Pakistan”.He is Founder of Pakistan Development
Alliance (PDA) , First of it’s kind inititiative in the Development
history of Pakistan. He is also Founding Editor of “ Connection “,
Pakistan’s first e-newsletter on Civil society Enhancement.
Mr. Shoki is also member of various National & International
Organizations like , International Society for Human Values (ISHV),
Geneva , IPB, International Youth Parliament, Liberal Forum –Pakistan,
Global Development Network (GDN), Civicus, People’s Right Movement ,
Population Association of Pakistan (PAP) & SDPI etc.
He is also member of Advisory Council of Global ICT Education Program of
World Bank, Standford, MIIT & UN ICT Task Force ‘s working group on
Policy & Governance .
Mr. Shoki has Represented the Pakistani Civil Society at UN World Summit
on Information Society (WSIS)-Geneva, ITCAN within 2nd Asia Pacific
Conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health.-Bangkok, Asia Invest Form
–Vietnam, and Bangkok ,Global ICT Educationa Workshop in Boston.
Executive Committee
- Mr. Shamsher Ahmed is
in the Board of PES. He holds a degree in Commerce and law. Mr.
Ahmed has more then 25 years experience in taxation and accounts .
He also attended various courses on Education & Management.
- Mr. Nasim-ul- Haque
is also on the Board of PES. He has thirty years experience Of
working with different Social organisations .He was also Chairman of
Local Zakat Committee(Govt. of Pakistan) He was secretary of Faran
Educational Society(FES) and now is member Board of Directors of
OEDC.
- Mr. Zafar Ahmed
Advocate is a renowned lawyer of Sindh High Court. He has been
practicing from more then ten years. He is legal advisor & member of
Board of Directors of PES & PDN. He is on the standing counsel for
Govt. of Pakistan , National Bank of Pakistan & Habib Bank of
Pakistan.
- Mr.Kashif Ahmed
Siddiqui is a Young Educator and has been teaching Computer from
about seven years. He holds a degree in Commerce and Diploma in
Computer Science.
- Ms. Zarina Shaukat
holds a degree in Education .She has fifteen years experience in
teaching .
- Ms.Sabeen Kashif
holds a degree in Education and has been teaching from fours years
.She is a young educator who believes in liberal values.
